Landmark Worlds
Landmark Worlds
A world is a playable, generated place you drop into and explore live. You move around it with your keyboard while viewers spend to change the game around you. A tip can hand you a new power, warp you to a different world, bend the scene to their words, or add time to the clock.
How it works
You pick the world you spawn into and describe its mood. While you play, viewers trigger redeem rules you set up. Each rule maps a platform event (a tip, bits, a channel-point redeem, a gift, a raid) to one move in your world. Moves apply live as they come in, and each one adds time to the session clock so the world keeps going as long as viewers keep playing along.
Rules use the same trigger engine as Landmark Camera and Elements, so if you have set up either of those, this will feel familiar.
Before you start
Worlds needs a connected bank for payouts (so paid moves can pay out and refund) and at least one streaming platform connected. Landmark tips are always available as a trigger source; Twitch, YouTube, Kick, Rumble, and TikTok events become selectable once you connect each platform in Platform Connections.
Setting it up
- Open Worlds and turn it on. Pick the world you spawn into and, if you like, write a prompt for its mood.
- Add your own powers: buttons only you can press mid-game, each with a short description of what it does in the world.
- Add redeem rules so viewers can change your world. One rule per row: an event on the left, a move on the right.
- Open the play window and window-capture it in OBS. Your rules fire while that window is open and you are playing.
The four moves
Every redeem rule turns one event into one of these:
- Add a power
- Drops a named button into the world for you to press. The rule sets the button label; the prompt (or the viewer's own words) is what it does.
- Trigger an event
- A one-off change to the world you are in, from a prompt or the viewer's message. A storm rolls in, the ground shifts, something appears.
- Change the world
- Warps you to a whole new world, either a preset scene or a re-prompt of the one you are in. You can hold scene swaps for your approval before the world changes.
- Add time
- Adds seconds to the session clock and nothing else. A simple way to keep the world alive.
Rules in detail
You only see the fields that apply to the event and move you pick.
- Event & threshold
- Choose what fires the rule. Depending on the event you can set a minimum amount, a minimum count (bits, months, raiders), a keyword or command, and whether the amount must match exactly (a set price) rather than a floor.
- The words
- Write a fixed prompt, or turn on use the viewer's own words so a move runs whatever the viewer typed, with your prompt as the fallback.
- Hold for approval
- For a world change, you can require it to wait for you to accept before the world swaps, so a big move never yanks you out mid-moment.
- Seconds added
- How much time the move adds to the clock.
Playing it
Open play window pops out a clean, chrome-free window you window capture in OBS. You move with WASD and look around, your powers are buttons you can press at any time, and viewer moves apply as they arrive. A world change set to hold waits for you to accept it first.
Pricing & billing
A world runs on a live generative model, so it is billed by the second while you play: $0.01 per second, and pauses are free. It is charged to your Landmark wallet and settled with the rest of your usage on the 20th of the month. Most moves carry a payout (a tip, a gift, bits) that covers the time they add; free events like raids and plain chat commands add time you cover yourself, so keep those for hype.
Payout figures are net of platform cuts. Landmark takes 0% of tips; on real tip charges, Stripe card-processing fees come out of your share. See Fees for the full breakdown.
