Soundboard
A soundboard lets viewers play a sound on your stream. You build a board of clips, each with its own price. Viewers redeem one from your portal with coins or a tip, or a sound fires off bits, a gift, a Super Chat or a chat command. It plays live through your overlay.
The 60-second setup
- Open the board. Go to Soundboard.
- Add sounds. Grab the built-in starter pack in one click, or upload your own clips. Give each a name and a price in coins.
- Add your overlay to OBS. Sounds play through your Landmark overlay browser source. Any Landmark overlay works, and no extra element is needed.
- Go live. While you are live with the overlay open, the soundboard shows on your portal and viewers can play the sounds.
Adding sounds
- Starter pack
- Eight built-in effects: airhorn, drumroll, sad trombone, boing, ding, buzzer, applause, and record scratch. Add all of them, or pick the ones you want. They are free to add.
- Your own clips
- Upload MP3, WAV, OGG, or M4A files up to 8 MB each. Name it what viewers should see. A board holds up to 60 sounds.
Preview any sound with the play button on the dashboard. That plays it in your browser only, never on stream, so you can hear a clip before viewers can.
Pricing
Each sound has its own price in Landmark Coins, from 5 coins up. A tip of the same amount plays it too. Landmark keeps 20% when a sound plays, the same as every other redeem, so a 25-coin sound nets you 20 coins.
Fire it from bits, gifts, and chat
Every sound can also fire off platform events, using the same ways editor as the Menu. Add a way: pick a platform, an event and an amount. Amounts match exactly, so 500 bits fires on 500 bits only.
- Money
- Bits, a Super Chat, a Rant or a Kick of the amount you set.
- Gifts
- A specific Kick or TikTok gift.
- Subs
- A sub or gifted sub, with a Twitch tier if you want one.
- Chat command
- A message starting with a word you choose, like
!airhorn.
Paid platform events that play a sound pay Landmark 20% of their value on a later bill. Free ways such as a chat command or a follow carry no fee. See Fees.
How it plays
A sound fires instantly through the audio sink built into every Landmark overlay, so there is nothing to place for the sound itself. Add the Soundboard element to your overlay if you want an on-screen card that shows who played which sound. Set each sound's volume on the board, and the global alert-sound mute in the Control Dock silences the soundboard along with your alerts.
When it is available
The soundboard shows on your portal only while you are live and your overlay is open, so a viewer never spends coins on a sound that has nowhere to play. If the overlay closes, the sounds drop off the portal until it comes back.
Turning a sound off
Toggle any sound to Off to hide it from your portal without deleting it. Delete removes it for good. Both take effect on open portals right away.
