On stream

Chat

Chat on your portal merges chat from every platform you are live on into one list. Viewers read it beside the stream, open it in its own window, or follow several streams at once in multi-chat.

Portal chat

Beside the stream, the chat header has Settings, Pop out and Hide. On a phone or a narrow window, chat sits in a tab under the player next to Skills.

Full screen keeps chat in a column beside the video. Press the chat button in full screen to show it. The column has its own Settings and Hide.

Who is in chat

The number next to Chat opens a list of who is in chat. People who chatted lately come first, then the rest of Twitch's chatter list. A viewer with a linked Landmark account shows under their Landmark name. The top of the list shows how many are watching and how many are in chat on each platform.

In chat settings, Number by chat picks whether the number counts viewers watching or people in chat. While no platform reports a viewer count, it counts people in chat.

Pop-out chat

Pop out opens chat at landmark.stream/p/yourhandle/chat in its own window. Add options to the address to set it up for a small window or an OBS dock.

?compact=1
No header and smaller type, for small windows and OBS browser docks.
?transparent=1
A see-through background.
?size=small, medium or large
The text size.
?platform=
Chat from one platform only: twitch, youtube, kick, rumble, tiktok or landmark.
?theme=light or dark
The color theme.
?events=0 or 1
Hides or shows follows, subs, raids, tips, Skills and channel point redeems in the list.

Join options with &, for example landmark.stream/p/yourhandle/chat?compact=1&transparent=1.

Typing in chat

Commands
Typing ! or $ lists the channel's commands. Past the command name, a line names its parameters with the current one marked, and offers values such as camera filters, voices, counters, timers, goals and recent chatters. Tab completes.
People
@ offers recent chatters, whoever spoke last first.
Emotes
: and two letters, or Tab after two letters, offer the channel's emotes with their pictures. On a Twitch channel the list includes Twitch global emotes.
Emoji
The emoji picker lists every emoji, searchable by name and keyword.

Clips and Power-ups

A Twitch clip link gets a card with the clip's picture, length, title, channel, game, views, age and who clipped it. Press the picture to play the clip right there in chat.

Bits Power-ups show on the message. A gigantified emote is drawn large, and a message effect gets its own mark.

Chat settings

Text
Text size, spacing, font and emoji font.
Show
Platform logos, platform badges, Landmark badges, emotes, timestamps and events, each with its own switch.
Hide commands
Hides messages that start with ! or $.
Hide bots
Off by default. Hides Nightbot, StreamElements and other known channel bots by name on every platform.
Translate chat to
Translates chat into the language you pick, newest lines first.
Blocked people
Everyone you blocked, each with Unblock.

Blocking someone

Press a name to open that person's card and choose Block. Their lines hide from you in portal chat, the pop-out chat and multi-chat. Signed in, your block list follows you to every device. A signed-out viewer's list stays in that browser.

Multi-chat

Multi-chat at landmark.stream/chat reads any YouTube, Twitch, Rumble or Kick stream. Paste a link or a handle and the stream opens as a tab in a pane. Split the window to read streams side by side. Multi-chat needs a sign-in.

Panes and tabs
Each pane has its own tabs. Drag a tab to the edge of a pane to split it, or onto another pane's tabs to join them. Drag a divider to resize. On a narrow screen it shows one pane at a time.
Saved layouts
The layout is kept in your browser and in the page address, so a shared link opens the same panes.
Sending
You can send to Twitch and YouTube channels with a linked account that is allowed to post. Kick and Rumble panes are read-only. A linked account that cannot post shows what fixes it.
