Brand guide

How Landmark looks and sounds. If you are building with or writing about Landmark, this page is everything you need.

The mark

The Landmark mark is a square outline with a filled square inside it. Nothing else. It has exact proportions: at 16px, a 1.5px outline with the inner square inset 3px from the outline. Scale those ratios together at any size.

Geometry
Per 16 units: outline stroke 1.5, gap 3, inner square 7. The mark is always a perfect square. Never rotate, round, recolor, or add effects.
Color
Near-white #fafafa on dark surfaces, near-black #0a0a0a on light surfaces. Two colors only.
Lockup
Mark plus the wordmark “Landmark” set in the display face, weight 800. The mark sits left of the word at text height.
In code
Use the LogoMark component (src/components/LogoMark.tsx). Do not hand-draw the mark.

Color

Landmark is black on white, and white on black. The whites and blacks are deliberately not pure: near-white is #fafafa (250, 250, 250) and near-black is #0a0a0a (10, 10, 10). Grays come from the neutral scale between them. Color is reserved for meaning.

Near-white
#fafafa. Text and the mark on dark. Elevated surfaces on light.
Near-black
#0a0a0a. Text and the mark on light. The canvas on dark.
Semantic color
Green #15803d for good, red #b91c1c for danger, amber #b45309 for warnings, gold #b7891f for Landmark Coins. These carry meaning and are never decoration.
Never
Gradients, glows, or brand colors beyond the palette above.

Type

Display
Archivo, weights 600 to 800, tight tracking. Headlines and section titles. This is the front page voice.
UI
Inter for everything else: body, labels, controls.
Numbers & code
The mono stack (ui-monospace first) with tabular numerals for money, counts, and code.

Surfaces and controls

Hairline borders, flat fills, square corners. One toggle style: a small pill with a sliding knob. One button family: solid near-black (or near-white on dark) for the primary action, hairline outline for the rest. Drop shadows only on floating layers like menus.

Voice

Plain sentences. Say the thing. Landmark copy never uses em dashes, never explains a feature by comparison (“it's not X, it's Y”), and never uses technical jargon in front of streamers or viewers.

Redeem, never buy
Viewers redeem effects and unlock things. Nobody “buys” and streamers never “sell”.
Coins are not money
Landmark Coins have no intrinsic real-world value. Landmark agrees to exchange them at $0.01 per coin. Coins fund redeems, usage, and tips to streamers. Never call them money, cash, or currency.
Prices
Per-second prices always read $0.03/s, never in cents. Coin amounts read plainly: 100 coins.

Using the Landmark brand

Partners may use the mark and the name to say their product works with Landmark. Keep the mark unmodified, on a plain background, with clear space around it at least the size of the inner square. Do not imply your product is made by Landmark.
