Media share

Media share lets a viewer put something on your stream. A link from a site you allow, a sound from the board, a picture, or something they describe and Landmark makes for them. It plays through the Media share element on your overlay. You choose which of those you take, what each one costs, and who can send.

The 60-second setup

Turn it on. Open Media share and flip the switch.
Pick what you take. Video and music are on to start with. Sounds, images and AI media are each their own switch.
Pick the sites. YouTube, TikTok and Rumble are on to start with. Click any other site to allow it.
Add the element. Media plays through the Media share element. Add it to an overlay and place it where you want media to appear.

What a viewer can send

Six kinds, each with its own switch.

Video: A clip from a video site, or a video file.
Music: A track from a music site, or an audio file.
Image: A picture, held on screen for a few seconds. You set the hold, from 2 to 60 seconds.
Sound: A short sound from the board.
AI song: A song written from what the viewer asks for.
AI clip of you: A short clip of you, from your photos and what the viewer asks for.

Where a link can come from

Each site is its own switch, and each one feeds one kind. A few of them have limits worth knowing before you switch them on.

Video: YouTube, TikTok, Rumble, Twitch clip, Facebook, and Kick clip with Kick connected. TikTok plays upright. Instagram and X are not on the list because Instagram does not allow its posts to play on a stream and an X post only shows as a card.
Music: Spotify and Bandcamp. Connect Spotify to play a full track. Without that connection a Spotify link previews for 30 seconds.
Image: Giphy, Tenor, Imgur.
Sound: Sounds come from the board. Your own soundboard sounds come first, then openly licensed recordings found when a viewer searches. Credit travels with a found recording and the player shows it.

How it plays

Add the Media share element to an overlay in Elements, then place and size it where you want media to appear. The overlay draws the video, the picture or the player in that box. The element paints the artwork, what it is, who sent it, and a hairline of progress.

Themes: Standard, Matte, Simple with no card, and a compact bar. A track with artwork always gets the larger treatment, since nothing is playing behind it.
Color: The progress bar takes its color from the artwork that is playing. When there is no artwork it falls back to the accent you set.
Where it plays: The overlay element, your real screen through Landmark Desktop, or both.
How many at once: One at a time by default, up to eight.

Media share is closed while there is no player on stream. A viewer who tries is told there is nowhere to play it and is not charged. If the player goes away mid-play, that item returns to the front of the queue and plays in full when a player comes back.

Audio effects

A viewer can put one effect on what they send: Bass boost, Deep fried, 8 bit, Chipmunk, Demon, Alien, Cathedral, Telephone, Drive thru, Slowed, or Sped up. You switch them on and set one price for any of them.

They only work on media Landmark hosts, which means a sound, a file, or something made for the viewer. A link plays inside the other site's own player, which Landmark cannot route audio through, so the effect is dropped there and never charged for.

What it costs a viewer

Things that run: Per second. Your rate times the seconds the viewer asks for. That covers video, music, an AI song, and an AI clip of you.
A sound or a picture: Flat. Their length comes from your own hold setting, so there are no seconds to ask for.
Something made: A flat price for making it, set separately for a sound, a song, a image, and a clip of you. An AI song or an AI clip of you also runs on stream, so it carries the seconds on top.
Extras: A look over a video, an audio effect, and skipping the queue. Each one has its own price on top. Set the skip price to 0 to switch it off.

Everything is priced in coins, and a viewer sees the coin total before they send.

The rules you set

Who can send: Everyone, subs and mods, or mods only. Bits and super chats that carry a link only queue while you are live and only when this is set to everyone.
Free requests: Free for everyone, or free for subs and VIPs. Mods are always free in chat. A free request never skips the queue, and a viewer can hold five free requests in line at once.
Follow age: Free requests can need a follow of a set number of hours. Paid requests skip that check.
Blocked words: Any request whose link, title, channel, message or sender contains one is dropped. Add a channel name to block a whole channel.
Blocked people: A named viewer can never queue media. Blocking someone also rejects what they already have waiting.
Content rules: Minimum views, minimum age in days, and blocking age-restricted videos. These read YouTube's own numbers. Other sites carry no numbers to read, so they are not gated on this.
Approve or auto: Play automatically, or hold each one for your OK on the dashboard or in the Control Dock.
Length, looping, filler: Cap how long one item can hold the player, allow a clip to loop for its window, and set a backup playlist that cycles when the queue is empty.

Moderation

Every check runs before a viewer is charged. The link is parsed, the site is checked against your list, the blocked words and blocked people are checked, and your content rules run. A refusal costs the viewer nothing. A YouTube video that cannot be embedded is refused the same way, since it would otherwise show an error card for the whole window.

Something made for a viewer

Making takes longer than a request should wait, so a made item is charged when it is asked for and made afterwards. It sits in the queue while it is made, the rest of the queue carries on past it, and it plays as soon as it is ready. If it cannot be made, the coins go back to the viewer and the row is dropped.

An AI clip of you needs at least one photo of you saved on your account. Without one, that kind refuses before anything is charged.

From chat

$media <link> [seconds]: Queues a clip from chat, paid from the viewer's wallet. Also answers to !sr.
!queue: What is playing and the next few in line.
!skip: Mods skip what is playing.
!wrongsong: A viewer pulls back their own last free request.
!voteskip: Chat votes to skip. Three votes in a minute skips it, and mods skip on their own.
