On stream
Goals, counters & timers
Goals, counters, and timers are on-stream widgets you build as elements and place on an overlay. The Goals, Counters & Timers page is mission control for all of them at once. Every instance across every overlay, with its live value and its controls in one list.
The three widgets
- Goal
- A bar that fills toward a target. Follows, subs, tips, or a manual count. Add tiers so it rolls to the next milestone when one is hit.
- Counter
- A running number that climbs on an event or a chat command (a death counter, a win tally). Set a start value, a step, and the command.
- Timer
- A subathon-style clock that adds time per sub or per dollar, with an optional max time or a hard end date it can't pass.
Controlling a value live
From the management page (and the control dock) you can adjust any goal or counter on the fly. Add, subtract, set an exact number, or reset. And pause/resume a timer. Changes are saved immediately, so a correction sticks even if no overlay is open at that moment, and a live widget stays in sync.
Configuring each one
Edit a widget's per-instance settings right here: a goal's target and its tier milestones, a timer's max time or end date, a counter's chat command and step. Config changes take effect when the live element next reloads; value changes are instant.
Overlays vs elements
An element is a single widget you can drop onto a browser source by itself; an overlay is a composed collection of elements sharing one OBS URL. A goal or timer can live on its own overlay or alongside your alerts. the management page reaches every instance either way.
