Monetization

Fees

Landmark earns in two ways: a commission on paid redeems, and usage on the products that cost money to run. Direct cash tips carry a 0% Landmark fee. There is no subscription and setup is free. Here is exactly how each one works.

Commission

A commission is 20% of a paid redeem that does not consume usage. When a viewer redeems something that Landmark does not pay to produce, such as a MineControl effect, a camera filter, a media share, or an IRL device action, Landmark keeps 20% of what the viewer spent and the streamer keeps 80%. Coin-funded redeems settle the commission the moment they happen, so it never lands on a bill later.

Gold accounts keep an extra point, so their commission is 19%.

Filter rules on paid platform events work the same way: when bits, a Kick or TikTok gift, or a super chat fires a camera filter, Landmark takes 20% of that event's value. Subscriptions and gifted subs have region-dependent prices, so each one counts as an assumed $1 and the commission is $0.20. Free events (follows, chat commands, raids, channel points) carry no commission.

Usage

Usage is an elastic cost that scales with how much of a product the streamer runs. It applies to the products that carry a real cost to produce, priced above that cost so the streamer keeps a margin whenever they charge their viewers for it. Coin-funded redeems settle immediately; anything else accrues to the monthly usage bill.

The Elements AI assistant builds overlay elements from a description. You pick which model does the work, and each is priced per 1,000 tokens with a $0.05 minimum per build. Fable is available once you enable it in Preferences.

Agent

The dashboard agent that helps you set things up runs on Haiku and guarantees 3 free uses each day. Past that, it is billed at $0.002 per 1,000 input tokens and $0.010 per 1,000 output tokens. Fable can be enabled for the agent in Preferences.

A token is roughly three quarters of a word.

Tips

A direct cash tip is a payment to the streamer. Landmark takes 0% of it. The only deduction is Stripe's card-processing fee, and the rest lands in the streamer's connected bank. The smallest tip is $0.50.

  • Card processing~2.9% + 30¢Stripe's fee for handling the card securely. Charged per tip.

Coin-only regions

Stripe pays out to bank accounts in most countries, but not all. In a country Stripe cannot pay out to, an account is coin-only. Direct tips to a coin-only streamer are always converted to Landmark Coins in their wallet rather than cash. Landmark Coins cannot be exchanged or paid out to a bank at this time. They can be spent in two ways only: as tips to other streamers, and as payment for Landmark usage.

Buying coins

Coin packs cost a little more than their face value to cover card processing. A 500-coin pack ($5.00 in coins) costs about $5.59. That extra covers Stripe's fee for the purchase itself, so a coin always redeems at its full 1-cent value and the streamer keeps the whole thing.

Card processing is Stripe's standard US rate (2.9% + 30¢). International cards run a little higher, so the streamer's share is a best case. The exact figure always shows in the dashboard.
