Payouts & billing

One secure Stripe connection powers both directions: it pays your earnings out to your bank, and it settles your monthly Landmark usage bill. You set it up once on the Payments page.

Connecting a bank

Landmark uses Stripe Connect for bank details. Your account numbers go to Stripe, never to us. Start onboarding from the Payments page and Stripe walks you through identity and bank verification. The page reflects where you are:

Not started
No bank yet. Begin onboarding.
Incomplete
Onboarding was started but not finished. Pick up where you left off.
Verifying
Details submitted; Stripe is checking them. This usually clears on its own.
Ready
Bank connected. You can receive earnings and be billed for usage.

Cashing out

Once your bank is Ready, the Cash out section moves dollars from your Landmark wallet to your bank. Enter an amount (minimum $1.00, up to your available balance) and confirm. Funds arrive on Stripe's payout schedule. Typically around two business days, depending on your country.

Stripe cannot pay out to a bank in every country. Where it cannot, your account is coin-only: direct tips are always converted to Landmark Coins, and Landmark Coins cannot be cashed out to a bank at this time. You can still spend them as tips to other streamers and to cover your own Landmark usage. See Wallet & Landmark Coins.

Tracking payouts & statements

Every cash-out is listed under Payout history on the Payments page with its status and the date it reaches your bank:

Pending / In transit
On its way. Bank transfers typically settle in about two business days.
Paid
Landed in your bank.
Failed / Canceled
The payout didn't complete (for example, a bank rejection); the amount is credited straight back to your balance.

The Statements section gives you a downloadable CSV for each month: every dollar in and out of your balance (tips, usage, payouts, top-ups) with the running balance, ready for your records or your accountant.

Tax forms

Stripe is the payer of record for your connected account, so it prepares any tax form you qualify for (such as a 1099-K in the US). Open Tax documents on the Payments page to jump to your Stripe dashboard, where your forms and full payout history live.

What you pay for

You never pay out of pocket for what viewers redeem through Landmark. When a viewer redeems with tips or Landmark Coins, our cut comes out of that payment the instant it happens. You keep the rest and owe nothing later. You only ever face a real card charge for two things: interactions you chose to run free that still cost us to produce (AI Camera, Text-to-Speech, and the like), and our commission on money you earned outside Landmark (platform bits, subs, gifts). Your Landmark balance pays those first, too.

The monthly usage bill

Only the two billable cases above ever reach the monthly bill. It settles once a month, on the 20th:

  1. Your wallet balance is applied first.
  2. Only the remainder, if any, is charged to the card on your Stripe connection.

So a well-funded wallet can cover usage entirely and leave nothing for the card. Tipping is separate: tips are charged to your viewers and carry their own fee. See Fees.
