Landmark Desktop

Smart plugs and lights

Viewers set off your real lights and plugs. A color change on a tip, a flashbang on a redeem, a strobe when someone goes big. You pick the device and the effect; Landmark Desktop fires it on your PC. Nothing about your devices leaves your computer.

The three steps

  1. Find your devices. Open Smart plugs and lights inside Landmark Desktop and click Find devices. It looks on your Wi-Fi for Kasa plugs, LIFX bulbs, WLED, Shelly and Tasmota devices, and boards you flashed with the Landmark sketch. Test toggles a device so you know it answers.
  2. Pick an effect. Color change, Flashbang, Strobe, On / off, or a Sound. A tap makes the control with a sensible price. Change the name, the device and the price, then Save.
  3. Let viewers fire it. Each control is a redeem on your portal at that price. A tip of exactly that amount fires it too. Open Fires when under a control to add more triggers: bits, gifts, follows, subs, raids, on any platform.

One click sets up the sleep-stream trio on a LIFX bulb: Color change at 200 coins, Flashbang at 1,000, Strobe at 6,000. Drop flashbang-sound.mp3 and strobe.mp3 in your Downloads folder for the sounds.

What works

  • Kasa plugs and bulbs on your Wi-Fi. No account needed.
  • LIFX bulbs on your Wi-Fi. No token needed. Bulbs elsewhere work with a cloud token from cloud.lifx.com/settings.
  • WLED, Shelly, Tasmota devices on your Wi-Fi.
  • ESP32 and Raspberry Pi boards running the Landmark sketch or script (copy them from the page).
  • Speakers. Any audio output on the PC, for the built-in alarm or a sound file.

How a fire travels

A viewer redeems on your portal, or a platform event matches a trigger you set. Landmark records the redeem and Landmark Desktop, running on your PC, sees it within a second and drives the device. The app has to be open and its Smart Home switch on. Adding your first device turns it on for you.

Viewers never choose the device. They only set off what you built.

If it does not fire

  • Landmark Desktop is not running, or this PC is not connected on the Landmark Desktop page.
  • The device is not on the same Wi-Fi as the PC. Find devices again.
  • The tip was not exactly the price. Tips fire a control only at its exact amount; use Fires when for ranges on other platforms.
  • The control is off. Edit it and tick On.
